Mobile preventive maintenance in Cartagena

A routine check-up wherever the car is: coolant, brake and power steering fluid levels, condition of the air and cabin filters, belts, hoses, battery terminals and visible leaks. We show you what we found, with the car right in front of you, and only what you approve gets replaced.

It's maintenance, not major repair: whatever can be done without a lift or a pit, in your garage or in the parking lot at work. If we find something that needs a shop with a lift, we tell you straight.

Why in Cartagena it needs checking more often

The salt air corrodes terminals and connectors, the heat dries out belts and hoses and the downpours wear out wiper blades in months. A car on the coast doesn't age like one in Bogotá. What salt air and heat do to your car explains it part by part.

Before a road trip along the coast or the technical inspection (tecnomecánica), this visit keeps you from losing your slot over a burnt-out bulb or a low fluid level. See how much the technical inspection (tecnomecánica) costs in Cartagena and what they check at the CDA.

Frequently asked questions

Are you a mobile mechanic?

Yes: the mechanic goes to wherever the car is and does the work there. We cover maintenance and part replacements —oil and filters, battery, lights, wipers, fluid checks, belts and hoses, fire extinguisher— not major engine, gearbox or bodywork repair, which needs a shop with a lift.

Is it the same as taking the car to a shop?

It is a shop that travels: the technician arrives with the oil, the filters, the parts and the tools, and works in your garage, the car park at work or the street outside your house. You do not drop the car off, you do not wait for a slot, and you see what gets replaced.

How long does the service take?

An oil change takes 30 to 45 minutes from when the technician arrives; a battery, lights or wipers, less. If the service includes several jobs we tell you the time before starting.

How do I pay?

When the service is done, in cash or by transfer. The price is agreed on WhatsApp before the visit and doesn't change unless you approve something extra.

What don't you do as a mobile service?

Major engine, transmission, suspension or body repairs: those need a shop with a lift. We do maintenance and part replacements —oil and filters, battery, lights, wiper blades, belts and hoses, fire extinguisher— and we tell you straight when something falls outside that.

Can I combine the preventive check with the oil change?

Yes, and it's the most common thing: in the same visit we change the oil and the filter and check everything else. We quote both together on WhatsApp.
